If you are interested in volunteering at SCRAP, you must be:
To become a volunteer, you must first fill out the volunteer applications.
Once you have submitted your application, it will then be reviewed by our volunteer coordinator and if accepted, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. We like to get to know applicants and share information to be sure this volunteer opportunity is the right fit for your interests, skills, and availability.
Background Check: A standard national criminal background check is required for some of our volunteer positions. All volunteers must be willing to complete a background check form.
Community Service Hours: This program cannot be used to fulfill court-ordered hours.
Students: It is a challenge for us to accommodate students who are required to fulfill short-term community service hours. We request that, if your service commitment is less than six months in duration, you consider continuing to volunteer at SCRAP to make our standard six-month commitment of 9 hours per month.
Short-Term: We do not accept short-term volunteers. Because we require extensive training, we do not accept short-term volunteers except during our Drop-In Volunteering times and Group Volunteering opportunities. For more information about these options, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
